Senior Nursery Practitioner

Handkerchief Day Nursery

High St, Kegworth, Derby DE74 2DA, UK

£22,880.00 per year

Full-time, Permanent

About the Role

Are you a Senior Nursery Practitioner that is passionate about developing little minds?

Here at Child's Time we want to create environments and opportunities that develop the skill of how to learn, not what to learn. We trust our children with the freedom to explore and investigate.

We have the same shared vision for our team – and want to create experiences for our team to grow and develop, whether you are 4 or 40. We invest heavily in professional development ensuring we were the best educators we can be. We have also recently become the first nursery group to implement the real living wage as we believe our team mates deserve a wage that goes way beyond the basic minimum. The
Real Living Wage provides an income that not only meets the cost of living but also enables people to plan for their own and their family’s future.

If you’re interested, then think hard about whether we’re right for you. If you are excited, then definitely read on….

About the role...

Our dream Senior Nursery Practitioner would be someone who is Level 3 qualified and has experience of working within a nursery environment and with a minimum of one years experience in a Senior role.
They are passionate about what they do and want to work in a setting that is forward thinking and open to new ideas.

Our dream interview would go a little something like this…
We want to spend the time getting to know you, understanding your strengths and what makes you brilliant. You can be sure to receive a very warm welcome (which might even include coffee and a treat from our brilliant kitchen team)

You’d talk to us about being a practitioner that excites those around them and can make learning fun. You'll take pride in the fact that you can also give awesome cuddles.

We wouldn’t ask you to do it right there and then, but if we did, you’d be comfortable to showcase some dance moves and good old sing-along. You are energised by being part of team that is always looking at new ways of doing things and creating inspiring experiences for children. You love to learn and we can see this through your curious questions. You may also have some pretty cool ideas on how we can make our nursery better and you’ll even share some of the really BRILL stuff you’ve already done.

You take safeguarding seriously and you’re passionate about supporting children and their families. You talk to us about your commitment and understanding of how we all play a part in fostering a strong and robust safeguarding culture.

You’ll tell us what motivates you and what's really important to you when finding the right team to join. We will talk about the times you made mistakes – but learnt from them and we’ll celebrate the things you’re most proud of.

The interview would almost definitely run over time due to us discussing all the exciting things you can bring to the role and what possibilities lie ahead. Before we said goodbye, we’d tell you all about the BRILL perks of being a part of our team.

We want to leave you feeling excited about your future should you got the opportunity to join us.
